Where I am so far

Well so far all I have really done is check prices to get and idea of whats currently available, and purchasing books, so far I have the restoration guides for the Tr4-TR4A & TR5/250-TR6, The Original Triumph TR4/4A/5/6, and I picked up the Originality guide Tuesday this week, I have picked up the original work shop manaul with the TR4A supplement and The Autopress TR4/4A work shop manual by Kenneth Ball.
Other than this, all I have really been doing is checking the prices or the models I find for sale, and keeping track of the ones that are still available,( like the ones that do not sell on ebay), I have been using LemonFree.com, Ebay-motors, Craigslist.org, Hemmimgsmotors.com, for search sites, I have also checked the classified on the BritishCarForum.com and the TriumphExperience.com forums.
In my reading I have decided on the TR4A IRS and sticking with the 2.2 liter motor.
The main motivating factor is the lenth of time the 4 cylinder motor was used, and the body.
I just Love the Michelotti body.

just a update of where I am

Well after reading the post on the Britishcarforum.com about the new Originality book by Bill Piggott, well I had to have me one.
I also have the TR4-TR6 version, a TR4 work shop manual PN# 510322, a Autopress work shop manual TR4-TR4A 1961-1967 by Kenneth Ball,
Kas Kastner's
Historical & Technical Guide
for
Triumph Cars, Had hoped to be buying the Supercharger setup pictured but no joy so the the search continues.( the guy flaked )

One Day My Final TR4A

This is the look I'm after, so hopefully by July 2012 I'll be here. At the SCTOA meeting last nite and from my reading, I have learned that I can widen my search to include all late model TR4A's , since all TR4A chassis were originally designed to be IRS, and some were modified to except a live axle due too request from US auto dealers. using a tr4a live axle model will also mean that I will have to search out the necessary IRS componet's for my chassis, I believe that it will be necessary to purchase a chassis from Ratco, and am know thinking that it might be a better route to start from the chassis and work my way up.
